Manual Meino Cramer DateF2019/11/07(Thu) 02:06 No.1170
Hello Netio! :)
Today my GC10 arrived after an unbelievable short time of delivery! :) :) I am very happy! Short question: Is there an english spoken manual to download?
Thank you very much in advance for any help! Best regards, Meino
Re: Manual - NetIO official 2019/11/07(Thu) 14:15 No.1171 Which manual do you need?
Soldering kit version or Pre-assembled unit ver?Re: Manual - Meino Cramer 2019/11/08(Fri) 01:46 No.1172 Hello NetIO, :)
I have the Soldering kit...
Thanks a lot for your help in advance! Best regards, Meino Re: Manual - NetIO official 2019/11/11(Mon) 12:19 No.1173 just found it. here it is. https://netiodev.com/GC10KIT_manual.pdf Re: Manual - NetIO official 2019/11/11(Mon) 12:38 No.1174 Sorry, this manual seems to be for old board version. However no significant difference between old and current kit. Only parts replacements. Through hole soldering is obsolete anymore. and getting difficult to obtain these parts by discontinuation of production. so we are foced to exchange them to alternative one.Re: Manual - Meino Cramer 2019/11/12(Tue) 02:50 No.1175 Hello NetIO!
I thank you so much! :) What a great support!!! :) Tomorrow morning I will start assembling my GC10 -- can't wait for it...but this evening it is too late (unfortunately ;) )
Best regards, Meino
Re: Manual - mylists@posteo.de 2019/11/13(Wed) 21:32 No.1176 Hi,
soldering/building is done and the GC10 is up and running fine. For logging purposes I have attached a USBtoSerial converter. Then I attached a Raspberry Pi Zero via an USBOTG cable to that converter and used this commandline to log the data coming from the GC10 (using zsh shell): nohup cat /dev/ttyUSB0 &!
This way the command does not stop logging when I close the connection, which is established via WiFi.
What formula do I need to use when calculating uSv/h from the raw CPM values, which get logged (using the SMB-20, which comes with the GC10) ?
Thank you very much in advance for any help! Best regards, Meino
Re: Manual - NetIO official 2019/11/14(Thu) 15:28 No.1177 Glad to hear that you've built safely. Surely, connecting with RPi zero is the best choice to extend GC10's feature with low cost.
Serial port of gc10 is not only CPM output but also accepts commands to manage gc10. On serial terminal soft like putty or GNU screen, just type next two lines.
stop [return] show [return]
All internal parameters will be shown.
and the "gsm" is the@CPM to uSv/h conversion rate(denominator).
Protocol specification is here. http://netiodev.com/UART_GC10.pdfRe: Manual - mylists@posteo.de 2019/11/14(Thu) 22:52 No.1178 Thanks for the UART description -- helps me a lot! :) Didn't thought that converting CPS to µSv/h is based on a simple multiplication ... :)
The gc-10 is really fun and interesting to use! I enjoy it! Best regards, Meino Re: Manual - Meino Cramer 2019/11/15(Fri) 20:03 No.1179 Today my SI-22G Geiger tube from Russia arrived! :) Setting the correct voltage was no problem at all. Unfortunately I cannot find any informations about the sensitivity of the tube which let me set the correct gsm-value for the SI-22G. A search through the forum with "SI-22G" and "22G" lead to no result. Is the GSM-value for the SI-22G known?
Thank you very much for any help in advance! Best regards, Meino
Re: Manual - NetIO official 2019/11/18(Mon) 10:40 No.1183 si-22g is about 3 times sensitivity, right? then just multiply gsm by 3.
it is strictly necessary to do calibration at public calibration org or research institute, where has the equipment. gsm value means CPM value at 1uSv/H.Re: Manual - Meino Cramer 2019/11/18(Mon) 15:19 No.1185 Thanks for the info...didn't know about the relation between the SI-22G and the SMB-20! :)
Will check for an opportunity for an official calibration additionally.
